Beyond Adopteen is built for adult adoptees. It is our hope to bring annual retreats, community events, and tour trips to ages 18+ and 21+ through Beyond Adopteen. We are dedicated to providing community connection opportunities and resources for adult adoptees, whether they are navigating new worlds, entering the workforce, or starting a family of their own.

A Weekend Like No Other
This year’s Beyond Adopteen Retreat is all-inclusive and jam-packed with classic Rocky Mountain adventure. We’re talking hot springs, white water rafting, horseback riding, fly fishing… and just some good old-fashioned fun.
 
A full weekend of nostalgic camp vibes, workshops, and adventure in a “blink-of-an-eye town” that Uncover Colorado says has “a general store, a gas station, and some recreation”? You don’t want to miss this.
 
Beyond Adopteen Retreat 2024 is a chance to refocus, reengage, and refresh your connections with the adoptee community.
 
Whether it’s an excuse to further delay another quality control evaluation or a chance to catch up with old friends you’ve lost touch with, we promise this retreat will be the vacation you need. We’re feeding that inner child and making no apologies. Plus, there will be s’mores, made over a campfire! What could be better?

Every year, new ideas and new conversation topics are brought to the table by brilliant, fun-loving, intentional adoptees from all walks of life to help make the Beyond Adopteen Retreat all that it can be.

Accommodations
Retreat accommodations at Silver Cliff Ranch are in classic camping log cabins, scattered throughout the grounds. Each cabin is split into two units, with each unit providing three bunks and a bathroom. ADA cabin units are available!
Shared Accommodations
Shared accommodations allow for three individuals per unit.
 
Private Accommodations
Individuals have the option to book a full unit to themselves for more privacy.
Transportation
Silver Cliff Ranch is about a 3-hour drive from Denver, winding through some of Colorado’s most famous mountain towns. Attendees have the option to catch our Group Shuttle or drive their own vehicles to reach the Retreat grounds.

Group Shuttle

The Group Shuttle will depart from Union Station on Friday, August 9th @ 11AM and make two pitstops along the way to Silver Cliff Ranch (ultimately arriving at the Retreat around 4:00PM). Attendees can catch the shuttle at any of these three stops:

[1] Union Station @ 11AM

[2] Beau Jo’s Pizza (~12:30PM) to grab lunch at Colorado’s favorite pizza stop

[3] Leadville (~2:30PM), the highest city in North America, to catch our breath

Any attendees fitting in their own Colorado adventures before Retreat starts are welcome to catch the shuttle at any of the three above stops.

Personal Vehicles

Group Shuttle transportation is included for all pricing levels. However, attendees are welcome to drive their own vehicle for the weekend if they prefer more flexibility.
